Ingredients:

  • 1-1½ pounds (453-680g) top sirloin steak, (cut in 1-inch pieces)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 teaspoons (8-12g) Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon (14ml) olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons (28-42ml) butter
  • 2 teaspoons (10g) garlic, (minced)
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5ml) Worcestershire sauce ((replace with extra soy sauce))
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) soy sauce ((adjust to taste with more or less))
  • ½ cup (57.5g) onions, (sliced (optional))

Instruction:

  1. Lightly salt steak. Season with Creole seasoning and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large cast-iron frying pan (mine is a 12-inch) or skillet over high heat.
  3. Place the steak tips in the pan in a single layer, and saute for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then turn and cook for 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  4. Depending on your pan’s size, you may need to work in batches. Overcrowding the pan will prevent the tips from browning nicely. Repeat with remaining steak tips if needed.
  5. Make space in the pan, then add the butter and garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and onions, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat the meat in the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies. Enjoy!
