Slime Recipe With Glue

1. 1/2 cup of Elmer’s Washable School Glue.
2. 1/2 Cup of Water.
3. 1/2 Tsp of Baking Soda.
4. 1 Tbsp of Saline Solution.
5. Food coloring and glitter optional!

Fluffy Slime Recipe

Fluffy Slime Recipe Without Borax Made with Shaving Cream

Ingredients:

• 2/3 Cup White Elmer’s Glue
• 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1/4 Cup Water
• 2-3 Cups Shaving Cream
• 1.5 tablespoons Contact Lens Solution **Important: your brand of contact lens solution must have boric acid and sodium borate in the ingredient list. This is what interacts with the glue to form the slime.
• Liquid Food Coloring

Instruction:

1. Add your white glue to a bowl.
2. Add you water and baking soda and then mix.
3. Add your shaving cream and mix. The more shaving cream you add, the fluffier it will be. You may need to add more contact lens solution if you make it with 3 cups.
4. Add your food coloring until you are satisfied with the color. Mix.
5. Now slowly add in your contact solution. **Important: your brand of contact lens solution must have boric acid and sodium borate in the ingredient list. This is what interacts with the glue to form the slime. We like this brand the best.We like to add in 1 tablespoon, knead for 5 minutes and then add in the 1/2 tablespoon after kneading for some time. The slime will be very sticky when you’re kneading – and that’s normal!
6. If you find it still too sticky – add some baby oil or lotion to your hands. You can also add in more contact lens solution if you still find it too sticky. Just a little bit at a time. We like to add an extra teaspoon at a time until it stops sticking. If you add too much the slime may become too hard and won’t be as stretchy to play with.

How to Make Slime With Contact Solution

Ingredients:

• 1 Bottle of Elmer’s Glue (6 oz or 3/4 cup of glue)
• 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1½ TBSP of Contact Lens Solution
• 1 TBSP Optional – Add 1/4 cup of water if you’d like a more stretchy slime. We do recommend doing this step.
• Optional – Add in extra glitter if desired

Instruction:

1. Get a bowl to mix your slime ingredients in.
2. Pour your entire 6 oz Elmer’s Glitter glue into the bowl.
3. Add your baking soda and mix in thoroughly. Also add up to 1/4 cup of water here if you want a more stretchy slime.
4. Slowly add in your contact lens solution (reminder: your contact lens solution should contain boric acid or your slime will not form). Add it in slowly and mix if possible so that you can adjust and ensure you do not add too much. You may not need the full amount so take this step slowly.
5. Now mix until your slime forms and begins to harden. Take it out and knead, knead, knead. You may be surprised how much you need to knead to really make the slime form. If it’s not the desirable consistency keep kneading. If you find it to still be too sticky, add a little bit of lotion or baby oil to your hands.

How To Make 3-Ingredient Slime Without Borax

All you need to make safe slime at home without borax is glue, baking soda, contact solution, and a little glitter. It’s a fun and safe activity for kids.

Ingredients:

• 2 (4-ounce) bottles washable school glue, such as Elmer’s (see note for variations)
• 1 to 2 drops liquid food coloring (optional)
• 1/4 cup glitter (optional)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 to 3 tablespoons saline solution (i.e., contact lens solution), divided

Instruction:

1. Color the glue (optional): Pour the glue into a medium bowl. Stir in the food coloring and glitter, if desired. This mixture doesn’t need to be homogeneous, as you’ll mix it even more after adding the baking soda.
2. Add the baking soda: Add the baking soda to the glue mixture and stir until smooth.
3. Add the contact lens solution: Pour in 2 tablespoons of the contact lens solution and stir slowly. The mixture should begin to harden, becoming stringy.
4. Mix until a ball forms: Continue mixing slowly until a ball of slime forms.
5. Knead by hand: Pick up the slime and work between your two hands, until smooth. If the slime is particularly slimy, work in another 1/2 tablespoon of contact lens solution as needed.
