Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 16 ounces refried beans (canned)
  • ½ package taco seasoning
  • 4 ounces mild green chiles (diced and drained)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 green onions (divided)
  • ¼ cup jalapenos (chopped, optional)
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese (divided)

Instruction:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice green onions dividing the white and green portions. Set the green part aside.
  3. Combine cream cheese, refried beans, taco seasoning and sour cream with a hand mixer on until fluffy.
  4. Add the whites of the onions, jalapenos, chiles and 2 cups of cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread into a 2qt (or 8×8) baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and bake 20-25 minutes or hot and cheese is melted.
  7. Sprinkle remaining green onions on top as garnish. Serve with tortilla chips.
