Ingredients:

  • 4 cups penne pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound pork sausage
  • 4 ounces pepperoni
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (, chopped)
  • 1 small onion (, chopped)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic (, minced)
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms ((optional))
  • 1 small can sliced olives
  • 24 ounce jar marinara pasta sauce ((homemade pizza sauce*))
  • 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instruction:

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove grease.
  3. Add cooked meat to a large mixing bowl. Add pepperoni, bell pepper, onion, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic, mushroom and olives.
  4. Add noodles and pasta sauce and toss to combine.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13” pan.
  6. Sprinkle 1-2 cups of mozzarella cheese on top, (depending on how much cheese you want).
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.

  • 16 ounces Penne Pasta
  • 4 cups Mozzarella Cheese (divided)
  • 28 ounces Pizza Sauce
  • 8 ounces Diced Tomatoes

  • 4 ounces Green Peppers (diced)
  • 2 ounces Onion (diced)

  2. In a large pot of boiling water cook penne pasta until al dente.

  4. Drain pasta and pour into a large bowl.
  5. Add 2 cups mozzarella, pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cooked Italian sausage. Toss until fully combined.
  6. Grease a 13×9 inch casserole dish and pour mixture into it.
  7. Top with remaining cheese, pepperonis, black olives and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove foil and continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
